Kim Kennedy...my brother...your brother...
EVERYBODY'S BROTHER!
Family is a funny thing. Something we take for granted sometimes, because we know they will always be there and on our side. That holds true with the exception of the word always. At least in the physical sense. Family and friends will always be with us, in our hearts, in our spirits and in our minds. However, they will not always be beside us. Kim's dad passed away some years ago now and his mom now resides in Arizona.
It was with this discussion that I had with Brotherman, where we discussed how wonderful the outpour of love was for him and he was speechless. To me it was obvious. He places such wonderful energy into the world, that the universe is returning the favor. He was silent. At some point during the night he placed a call to Arizona.
The call went something like this...
"Hello." "Hi, Mom." "How are you, honey?" "Mom, I just wanted to call to thank you. To thank you for who you and Dad made me become. It seems as though everyone thinks I did this on my own. But I know it was you two that gave me the ability to be who I am. I want to thank you for encouraging me to always be happy. I want to thank you for reinforcing in me that the best thing I could do was to help others. I want to thank you for my life."
